Under the Channel
When the body of a Scotsman turns up on board a Channel Tunnel train at the Gare du Nord, Parisian detective Roland Desfeuillères finds himself in charge of a murder investigation. Roland decides to travel to London - and not just in order to progress the inquiry. It's also a chance to escape his trouble marriage. Arriving in a city gripped by the financial crisis, Roland immerses himself in the victim's hedonistic lifestyle, as he searches for the motive behind the crime. But the longer he walks in the dead man's shoes, the more Roland discovers about himself...

Biographie
Gilles Pétel
Originaire du Nord de la France, j'ai longtemps travaillé à l'étranger avant de m'installer à Paris où je réside actuellement. Auteur de plusieurs romans publiés chez Fayard et chez Stock, j'ai également écrit une pièce de théâtre créée en 2009 à la résidence d'artiste "Lilas en scène" par Valère Foy. Mon dernier livre, "Sous la Manche" (Stock, 2012), est maintenant disponible dans Le Livre de Poche et accessible en anglais chez Gallic Books. "Exhibitions", mon nouveau roman, paraîtra le 01/10/2015 en livre numérique et en autoédition.
